Casper Skulls – Roddy Piper [Music Video]

Today the band Casper Skulls dropped their music video for Roddy Piper.
The second single is taken from the band’s upcoming album Kit-Cat which is set for release on April 11, 2025 via Next Door Records.
A fuzzy hazy alt-rock tune.

About the track by Casper Skulls:
Roddy Piper is a track about relational struggles with fuzz-drenched riffs and unrelenting energy.
The idea was born one night as the band, with their shared love of wrestling, watched the legendary feud between Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan. Together with subtle influences from You Made Me Realise EP by My Bloody Valentine and Forever Again by Eric’s Trip, Neil’s striking guitar riffs laid the groundwork, while Melanie brought the overarching idea of a romantic disagreement, mirroring the tension and drama of a wrestling match, to life in the song.
The track showcases the band’s synergy as vocalists while introducing the organ as a new sonic texture that defines much of Kit-Cat.

Speaking more about the track’s sound, Neil shares:
“I love the sound of when Julie Doiron and Rick White sing together and wanted to go for that sort of vibe. I find our band is strongest when Mel and I sing together and this is the first track in our catalog where we sing the entire song together.”
