Here is another album which has taken me a long time to review.
This album made it in my Top 25 Q1 list at #15.
Talking about Toronto’s Dino Bones‘ (as I like to call them by their short name) long awaited full-length called “My Divider” on Dine Alone Records.
The first time I’ve seen them was on April 10, 2009.
They impressed me with their blend of indie alterna-rock music with some added keyboard synths.
I know they will have alot of potential within their music.
Despite some bad times like when one of their members left.
But quickly got a new member and things have been sailing smoothly for them.
With the ups and downs and constant touring, they finally released “My Divider” on March 8, 2011.
Listening to the whole album.
The band has totally refined their music with the re-workings of NYE and Royalty (Both were released on a their self-titled EP)
The music has that gritty New York garage rock style sound in Making Light and Hunters.
The album has that slow paced kind of rock sound in tracks like Sharks In The Sand, Ice Hotels and My Divider.
While Highwire has that upbeat rock sound.
Very glad that NYE and Royalty are in the album since they are a staple from their live shows and I can never get tired of listening to both tracks.
Of all the times I’ve seen Dino Bones live, I was not disappointed with the album.
I was very impress and you can tell that the band is taking their music seriously and on another level.
Hopefully with My Divider will put on to super rock stardom.
