Today, Zoon (Zoongide’ewin), the musical project of songwriter, composer, activist, and artist Daniel Monkman, unveiled the music video for “OMNI II.”
The track serves as the third single from the forthcoming third album Happy Thought School, set for release on June 19, 2026 via Paper Bag Records.
“OMNI II” marks an interesting shift in direction for Zoon, leaning further away from the project’s signature moccasin-gaze roots into a more trippy, synth-heavy alt-pop sound.
The track is drenched in dreamy textures, hazy electronics, and hypnotic melodies that give it an immersive late-night atmosphere.
There’s still an emotional core underneath the shimmering production, but this time it arrives through woozy synths and lush pop arrangements rather than walls of shoegaze guitars.
