Decided to go to Mercury Lounge and support some Ottawa acts.
It was a CD Release show for ex-Ottawa/Toronto’s James and Blackburn.
They dropped their debut album Island Universe.

Also playing at the show were
• Life In 2D

• StillNative

The show started with Life In 2D.
I’ve seen the band live various times.
It was just the three of them minus the drummer.
They did a great set with their blend of indie alterna-rock.
As quoted on the event.
Life in 2D convey an ethereal gut wrenching performance with the power to bring you to your knees.
Arguably tinged with shades of Radiohead, this band holds a whole new taste of its own.

Second was Ottawa’s StillNative.
This was my first time seeing them live.
It was just a duo and they had that bluesy-rock vibe!
They had the audience on its dancing feet.
It was a fun set.

Lastly it was James and Blackburn.
They got things rocking with their music.
Played tracks from the album.
It was a fun set.

Overall it was great show and there was alot of people showing their support for these local acts.
Here are the rest of the photos.
