Metric – Romanticize The Dive [Streaming]

Today, Toronto band Metric released their highly anticipated tenth album, via Thirty Tigers.
The record leans into a sleek, streamlined blend of indie synth and alternative rock, showcasing the band’s signature sound with a polished, contemporary edge.
While its approach feels more lightweight and straightforward than some of their earlier work, the album still resonates with current themes and sharp lyricism, proving Metric’s ability to evolve while staying true to their identity.

About the album by Metric:
For their tenth LP, Metric went back to the place where they met: New York City at the height of its indie-rock explosion.
Recording once again at Electric Lady, Metric reunited with Fantasies and Synthetica producer Gavin Brown, joined by co-producers Jimmy Shaw, Liam O’Neil, and mix engineer John O’Mahoney.
This emotional reunion sonically captures the thrill of the band’s earliest ascent, with all the chaos and possibility of the early-2000s music scene, and brings it into the cultural context of 2026
