Montreal’s No Joy returns with a glitchy, mind-warping new music video for “Bugland,” the title track and lead single from their upcoming album Bugland, due out August 8, 2025 via Sonic Cathedral (UK/EU) and Hand Drawn Dracula (rest of world).
The track kicks off with a jolt of explosive electro-guitar rock, blurring the lines between shoegaze, industrial, and noise-pop, before seamlessly dissolving into a hypnotic, psych-tinged dreamscape.
About the track by No Joy:
This was the first song Fire-Toolz & No Joy produced together, initially without any plan to ever release it.
Our production styles melded so well together on this track that we decided we should make a whole album.
The song came together super organically, from the Korn-esque bass lines to the earworm vocal, it’s the welcome sign of the album letting you know you’ve officially entered our world.
