Subsonic Eye – My iPhone Screen [Music Video]

Today, Singaporean band Subsonic Eye unveiled the live performance video for “My iPhone Screen,” the vibrant and restless second single from their forthcoming fifth album, Singapore Dreaming, due out June 11, 2025, via Topshelf Records.
Energetic and emotionally charged, “My iPhone Screen” channels a cool, moody strain of indie alt-pop. With tightly wound rhythms and shimmering textures, the track captures a sense of digital-age detachment—restless but undeniably catchy. It’s another compelling entry in Subsonic Eye’s ever-evolving sonic journey.

About the track by Nur Wahidah:
“My iPhone Screen”, quick-paced drumming bounces off of Wahidah’s cuttingly sweet melody, “philosophizing on my iPhone screen / screaming please delete / it’s not part of what I am”, she sings with a determined spirit, eventually shifting into a more relaxed rhythm in the songs final minute.

“The idea of my identity staying static on the internet was scaring me.
I hate how permanent my identity felt like on social media, and how no matter how I may fight it, I will always be constructing an identity to be approved online.
I think my living experience is constantly evolving and changing, and to try to capture it in some sort of frozen moment feels insincere.”
