Saint John, NB’s Penny & The Pits – the solo project of Motherhood‘s Penelope Stevens has unveiled the lyric video for “Headcrusher,” a gritty burst of grunge-punk fury.
Clocking in at under two minutes, the track is the third single from Liquid Compactor, the upcoming debut full-length arriving June 27, 2025, via Forward Music Group.
Raw, ragged, and deliciously unfiltered, “Headcrusher” channels classic garage angst through blown-out guitars, frantic vocals, and a wry sense of humour.
About the track by Penelope:
“Headcrusher is about trying to blame yourself for someone else’s bad behaviour,” Stevens says.
“But then it’s also about refusing to do that anymore and just sending them out to die at sea.”
