Join Ravenswing Ottawa for a launch party and Ravenswsing’ Karaoke Slam Fundraiser on April 4, 2014 at Shanghai Restaurant in Ottawa.
Karaoke aficionados will battle it out slam-style at the microphone for the top cash prize and judges will pick the winner with help from the audience throughout the night.
The evening gets going when doors open at 9:00 p.m.
Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis to fill 12 spots and all are welcome to sign up.
Be ready for a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants kind of night as singers are thrown songs to perform to impress the judges. Singers will be narrowed down throughout the night in three rounds until the final two go head-to-head and only one singer is left standing.
Bravado, costumes, audience interaction and smack-talk are all welcome!
During a karaoke intermission, a button-making workshop will be set up with all the supplies needed for custom buttons.

All proceeds from the night will go to the musicians who will perform at the 8th Annual Ravenswing Arts and Music Fair in May 2014.
Ravenswing Arts and Music Fair is a non-profit event committed to Celebrating Creativity in Centretown Ottawa.
The Fair was established in 2007 to ensure an accessible venue for independent artists and writers.
The event is 100% volunteer-run and meets its financial needs through fundraising and the support of its members and participants.
