I attended a great Sunday show at Club SAW for a First Crush and Congrego presentation featuring Montreal-based Ribbon Skirt and Ottawa’s Airgun.
I was ecstatic to finally see Ribbon Skirt, especially after their whirlwind year in 2025, which included being shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize for their album Bite Down. They performed the album in its entirety, along with a few tracks from the Pensacola EP. A fantastic, loud indie rock and post-punk set from start to finish.

Kicking off the night was Ottawa’s Airgun with an energetic indie alt-rock set.
