Today the London UK band Talk Show dropped the music video for Closer.
It has been awhile since the release of their EP last year.
This leading single is a first taste on what to expect on their upcoming highly anticipated debut album called Effigy, due for release on February 16, 2024 via Missing Piece Records.
A cool post-punk new wave electro-rock tune.
About the track by Harrison Swann:
“Closer,” which arrives with a video directed by Ashley Rommelrath, grew from visual cues of a club/warehouse space imagined by the band, influenced by the intro to the movie Blade.
“There’s so much tension and anticipation and intimidation in that scene,” says frontman Harrison Swann.
“We wanted to create the kind of music we’d play if we were performing in that club, to put ourselves into that scene and see how far we could push it.”
With Rommelrath’s help, the band brings the unrelenting, sinister vitality of the claustrophobic nightclub to life in the “Closer” music video.
