Last night marked the inaugural opening of the Chroma Queer Film + Arts Festival.

The weekend-long festival brings together local filmmakers, artists, and organizations from 2SLGBTQIA+ communities to celebrate Ottawa-based histories, traditions, and movements. Chroma builds on local efforts to uplift queer wellbeing and continues the momentum of arts programming and creative development in our city.
At Arts Court Theatre, the opening night featured performances by:
- Moth and Firefly Theatre Collective, with a 10-minute preview of The Death of a Swan
- Musician Jessy Lindsay
- Poet Billie Nell
- Performer Glenys Marshall
- Dancer Geoffrey Dollar

After the opening showcase, I caught Only Child by dance artist Calder White which was a captivating piece that rounded out the evening beautifully.
