Today the Ottawa/Gatineau band Pony Girl dropped the music video for Laura.
The track is taken from 2023’s Laff It Off via Paper Bag Records.
A beautiful experimental ambient instrumental song that is far different from what we are used to with the alterna-pop songs that is on the album.

In the video, the character is reliving a traumatic road accident.
“We expanded that idea into an ambient cinematic track,” Pascal details. “Laura loved to drive.
The rolling hills, the winding roads, and open fields.
After a car accident, we get a glimpse of their day-to-day life.
Scenes from the past, and memories, collide with the present.
Laura now spends most of their time with Sara, a caregiver.
The support is subtle, accompanying Laura in the mundane activities of daily living.
A trip to the store, a quiet lunch, a sunset on the stoop.”
