One of the big shows on the second day of Pop Montreal 2017. While I find the venue La Tulipe kind of far but there was no way I wanted to miss out American garage rock band Thee Oh Sees now Oh Sees. Opening up for them was Montreal band Chocolat.
There was a new venue that I’ve been to during Pop Montreal. The venue was called Le Ministere and watched Li’l Andy perform. I was there mostly because there was free food which happened to be Wilensky’s Sandwiches! It was a nice set of country folk music.

Second day of Pop Montreal 2017’s BBQ day show outside Pop HQ. The acts that I caught were The Belle Game, Slight, The Baggios and Zoe Sky Jordan.
Started off Day 2 (September 14) of Pop Montreal by attending a KEXP taping at Breakglass Studio. Performing was Montreal act Napster Vertigo. Really enjoyed this set that had Dan Boeckner introducing the band. Also Basia Bulat is in this band. Music had that art-pop mellow rock vibe to it!!
To end off the first night of Pop Montreal on September 13, 2017. The late night show at Rialto Theatre had Love Theme and Bernardo Femminielli. It was the after party/show for the film premiere of A. Basically all the acts that performed where in the film.
Over at La Vitrola during Pop Montreal on September 13, 2017. I caught Montreal’s Phern and Olympia/Seattle’s Naomi Punk.
Debaser and Boiled Records held their Pop Montreal showcase at Casa Del Popolo on September 13, 2017. I only managed to catch two acts which were Gladys Lazer and Pulgas. Both acts were definitely interesting to check out if you are into the experimental alternative and rock music.
