As part of TURF‘s late night series.
I decided to head up to the Horseshoe Tavern.
Two of the acts were playing the festival but I wanted to go to the venue.
Playing at the show were:
• The Wooden Sky
• Hannah Georgas
• Northcote
Got to venue and caught the last two songs by Northcote.
I thought it was the band but it was just a solo set.
It was a nice set anyways.
Second was Hannah Georgas.
Having seen play during the afternoon.
This time I got to see the whole set in a more indoor intimate kind of setting.
She mostly played the same setlist from earlier on but it was definitely a wonderful set!
Finally it was The Wooden Sky.
I know I could have seen them the next day.
But I wanted to experience the Wooden Sky in a Toronto setting
At that time the place was already packed.
It was definitely a fun folk rocking set.
They previewed about two-three new songs for a upcoming album.
Even played a cover of Nirvana’s All Apologies!
They definitely killed this set despite not playing Oh My God (It Still Means Alot To Me)
Overall it was a wonderful night at the Horeshoe Tavern.
