Today, Montreal singer-songwriter Basia Bulat released the reimagined acoustic “Bouquet Version” of her song “Laughter,” along with a live performance video filmed in Toronto.
The track is the second single from her upcoming EP Bouquet, due out this Friday via Secret City Records.
Stripped back to its emotional core, this new arrangement trades the lush production of the original for delicate strings and an intimate acoustic setting. The more spacious approach allows Basia Bulat’s warm, expressive vocals to take centre stage, bringing even more emotion and vulnerability to the song’s heartfelt lyrics.
