Last night at House of Targ was Big Jim’s Christmas Bonanza Variety Christmas Show, featuring Ottawa rock ’n’ roll favourites Jim’s Plumbing & Electrical alongside indie alt-pop outfit Go Long.
Kicking off the evening was Tashi Bernard, setting the mood with a lovely Christmas cocktail–style piano hour.
Go Long followed with a set that mixed songs from their catalogue with festive classics, including Blue Christmas and Linus and Lucy.
Closing out the night were Jim’s Plumbing & Electrical, tearing through tracks from their The Business EP alongside a few new tunes, before turning the room upside down with Christmas anthems like Feliz Navidad and Last Christmas. By the end, it was moshing and crowd-surfing galore.
