It was a lovely evening at Cube Gallery for Blackbox Concert series.
It was their fourth installment and this time it was at a different location.
Playing at the show were:
The show started off with Mountains and the Trees from St. Johns, Newfoundland.
Mountains and the Tree is Jon Janes and it was just him solo during the whole hour.
He played the guitar and banjo.
He is like the East Coast version of Dan Mangan.
Played materials from his full length album “I Made This For You”.
He played one song that wasn’t on any EP/LP.
He goofed up on the line about Sunday and going to school. It was kind of hilarious and had to do a redo on the song.
His music is very indie folk-pop.
I think he will become a well-known in upcoming months.
After his set, it was Daniel Romano’s turn.
I was surprised that Misha Bower from Bruce Peninsula was accompanying him.
It was a nice set he put on.
Daniel played mostly from his solo album, “Workin’ For The Music Man” on You’ve Changed Records.
It was more of indie folk country rock style of show Daniel put on.
Felt like it was a continuation of Daniel, Fred and Julie but without Fred and Julie.
I had a great time listening to this set.
Overall it was great night for these two musicians.
And it was a nice venue for them to be at.
Here are the rest of the photos.

To my knowledge, Dan and Misha are dating, actually. Don’t quote me on it though.
