In the long list for Polaris Music Prize 2011.
This is one album that I had to listen to
I am talking about Montreal’s Galaxie with Tigre et Diesel.
It’s the only Francophone album in this year’s long list.
Being the only French band in the running.
I feel like Galaxie has become the Karkwa/Malajube of this year’s longlist.
So in predicting on Polaris they have a 80% chance of winning.
I have this sneaking feeling they might win it due to the grand jurors (three of them are from Quebec).
Or this funny and cute video.
I wasn’t expecting this to be a fun good album.
Jusqu’à la fin is the only track that is acoustic and not all electro-rock.
Despite being a French album, I really like the electro-rock elements.
If you are into it then you should have listen to Tigre et Diesel.
