It was a overwhelming sold out show at Mavericks on March 8, 2012.

• Shotgun Jimmie
This was my first time to see John K. Samson play solo.
For those not aware or living under a rock, he plays in the Weakerthans.
He was promoting the album “Provincial” which dropped on January 17, 2012.
Sackville’s Shotgun Jimmie started of the set.
It was last year he played at Raw Sugar Cafe.
Noticed that he used a suitcase for drumming, which I thought was very unique.
A great rocking solo set by Jimmie.
Finally it was John K. Samson’s turn to come up.
All I can say that it was an amazing show.
The show was filled with rock and acoustic songs, even the audience was singing along.
Very surprised that he played some Weakerthans songs.
Nice hearing Tournament of Hearts and Night Windows in an acoustic form.
This was my favorite song that he sang live.
