Jordan Klassen – Javelin [Review]

JordanKlassen-Javelin
I always seem to have bad luck when missing out Jordan Klassen performing a show in Ottawa. (Three times to be exact)
But he makes such beautiful moving pop music.
That is the case with the second album called Javelin.
It is a personal album since it deals with topics like depression which he has dealt with and his mother’s diagnosis with breast cancer who is now in remission.

This album is so brilliantly great to listen to with its lyrics, dreamy orchestral folk-pop music.
Think of Jordan as the next Dan Mangan for those missing the intimate and relatable folk-pop singer-songwriter songs.
While I am bummed that Firing Squad didn’t make it on Javelin.
This is still an impressive album to check out!

Best tracks:

  • Glory B
  • Gargoyles
  • No Salesman
  • Baby Moses
  • St Fraser
  • Light in the Evening

I’d give Javelin:
/10 Camera flashes.
