Living Hour – Wheel [Music Video]

Today, Winnipeg band Living Hour released the music video for “Wheel,” the lead single from their upcoming album Internal Drone Infinity, set to drop on October 17, 2025, via Paper Bag Records and Keeled Scales + Beloved Records in the rest of the world.
Marking a noticeable shift from their signature dreamy pop sound, “Wheel” dives into a louder, more driving alt-rock direction — delivering a raw, banging energy that feels both fresh and bold for the band.

About the track by Sam:
“Wheel” is an angsty, fuzzy, and melodic track about an errant Facebook Marketplace ad for a car and the betrayal Sarty felt at the hands of five different male’s in the situation.
She revels in her fantasies about evening the score.
“The story of Wheel begins with buying a car off Facebook Marketplace in BC. Turns out the car was junk, but I had no choice but to drive it home to Winnipeg. It took 3 days. I was driving through the mountains, and the headlights were so dim, and for a stretch there was nowhere to turn off. It felt like a weird, horrific video game–navigating the road and dodging danger. I also felt so deeply betrayed by all the men involved in the whole thing.

One being my dad, who knows cars inside out and who was with me when I bought the thing. He was the one who said “sold” to the salesman, Parker. Parker was a tanned, frenzied, typical BC snowboarder guy with a 5-panel hat and Oakley sunglasses. Next were the cops–I was pulled over twice for not having plates. They were grinding their teeth and flashing a light into my eyes and asking me if I was high. Next were the mechanics that refused to safety my car once I got back to Winnipeg. Finally, my now ex, who was with me during the drive, and who later threw the whole situation in my face. He told me it was all my fault and that I could have killed him.

These men feel like a series of characters now. I felt so powerless in this weird system that prioritizes men and their opinions. In this song, I was able to imagine an alternate reality where I’m a vengeful spectator in these men’s lives. What if something bad had happened on the road, what if I came back and plagued them all with my powerful essence that they so easily dismissed, contorted and took advantage of in order to sell me a fucked up car?”
