Today, Canadian composer and synth maven Nick Schofield unveiled the music video for “Sky Cafe,” featuring No Cosmos.
The track serves as the leading single from his upcoming album Blue Hour, out February 6, 2026 via Backward Music (an imprint of Forward Music Group).
A dreamy, airy blend of ambient and jazz that feels blissfully weightless.

This piece has gentle jazzy drumming, synthetic strings and entirely improvised trumpet playing by my new friend Scott Bevins (aka No Cosmos).
The song is propelled by subtle pulses of Moog synthesizer, coloured by smooth Rhodes chords and elevated with waves of Waldorf strings. Nick Schofield’s gentle brush drumming grounds the groove of the song, while Scott Bevins’ improvised trumpet playing leads the listener towards a mellow high.
The result is the refreshing vibe of Sky Cafe.
