Today, the Nova Scotia band The Boojums unveiled the music video for “Football,” the third and final single from their upcoming self-titled debut album, out October 31, 2025 via Toronto labels Having Fun and We Are Busy Bodies.
The track carries a classic, nostalgic alt-rock energy that is melodic, jangly, and effortlessly warm tune that captures the youthful charm that defines The Boojums’ sound.
About the track by The Boojums:
“Football definitely goes back to some of the heartland rock vibes like Wings of Fire. It’s kind of about being young and not quite knowing what your path in life is, but there’s kind of this nostalgic attachment to where you’re from calling you back,” says frontman Willie Stratton.
“I didn’t play football but I got the idea for the song hanging out by the river down by Range Park in Bedford where the football field is.
It looks like the kind of place that would exist in a Bruce Springsteen song.
I think the allegory in this one is that life is like running with a football and the little turns you take can drastically change the play.”
