Day 4 of Ottawa Bluesfest 2024 turned out to be one of my favorite nights, thanks to an incredible pop lineup on the main stage.
While I was disappointed not to shoot Maroon 5, my spirits were lifted by Carly Rae Jepsen‘s performance.
She kicked off with “Psychedelic Switch” from her album The Loveliest Time, setting the tone for an energetic and vibrant set.
I forgot the name of the second song, but the third was “Run Away With Me” from the underrated E•MO•TION, which had the crowd buzzing.
My duties as a photographer took me away for a few songs as I captured Pokey LaFarge’s set at 8 pm, but I made it back in time to hear Carly play “Your Type” and, of course, the infectious “Call Me Maybe.”
The audience sang along joyfully to every word, and she ended the night on a high note with “Cut To The Feeling.”
Before Carly, opening up the main stage was Tyler Shaw with wonderful pop music.
After that, I totally forgot about Chelsea Cutler at the River Stage and caught parts of the electro-pop set.
Earlier at the River Stage caught parts of Cinzia & the Eclipse.
Ended my night was being wowed by Future Islands at the River Stage.
