Sometimes, the best nights are the ones you don’t plan.
This past Friday, I found myself stepping in for another photographer who wasn’t feeling up to it and heading over to the Bronson Centre, where American rock band Switchfoot was performing.
Ottawa marked the final Canadian stop on their “The Beautiful Letdown World Tour,” celebrating the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album.
The evening was a lively throwback for fans reliving the golden era of 2000s rock.
Opening the night was American singer-songwriter Lostboycrow, who set the mood with a soothing acoustic indie-pop set.
His intimate performance, featuring stripped-down arrangements, created a campfire-like vibe that contrasted nicely with the high-energy rock that followed.
It was a fitting prelude to the nostalgia that would soon engulf the Bronson Centre.
