Check out the photos from the November 27th Debaser show with Bonnie Doon, Vulva Culture, Phern and Protruders at Bar Robo.
It was Keltie who is the drummer for Bonnie Doon’s birthday!
The show started off with Toronto’s Protruders which is a new band consisting of members from Tough Age and Kappachow!
The second band was Phern from Montreal.
I was excited to see them because they consist of members from Moss Lime and Each Other.
Also they are on Fixture Records which has that minimal lo-fi pop music sound. You can say the Montreal pop vibe and sound.
The band is promoting their first album called cool coma.
All the members came out as flight steward/stewardess.
It was a lovely set!
Third band to perform was Halifax’s Vulva Culture.
It was such a slow melancholy experimental alterna-pop set!
Ending the night was Ottawa’s Bonnie Doon.
Great surf-rock alterna-punk set!
Great way to celebrate the drummer’s birthday too!
Check out the photos from their set.
