Braids – Native Speaker [Streaming]

Buzz and excitement about Braids‘ debut full-length album, “Native Speaker,” which was set to release on January 18, 2011.
It’s great that the band managed to secure a deal with Kanine Records in the USA and Flemish Eye in Canada.
The album’s tracklist and the comparison to a mix between Sigur Ros and Azeda Booth gives readers a sense of the band’s musical style.
The diverse range of tracks, from the catchy and vibrant “Lemonade” to the trippy sonic pop tune “Plath Heart,” showcases the band’s versatility.
Native Speaker is a artful, beautiful, and dream-like sound of the album, as well as the detailed layers of instrumental sounds and vocals in tracks like “Glass Deer” and “Lammicken,” contribute to a vivid picture of the listening experience.
The comparison to Sigur Ros in the title track, “Native Speaker,” adds another layer of understanding for potential listeners.
The instrumental track “Little Hand” wrapping up the album with a gentle wave goodbye creates a nice visual image and completes on a positive note. The album is a well-done, beautiful collection of tunes that capture the essence of fun, joy, and carefree youth, and the appreciation for the band’s bold approach in making music they like.
