Last week I went down to Seattle for the second year to check out the Capitol Hill Block Party and the city itself.
The festival is situated in the heart of Capitol Hill where they close off a block of the city making it a fun party!
On the first day of the festival, I got to see a mix of local and non-local acts.
Started off seeing Dude York who was on my list to see.
Pheso from Seattle providing some electro-dance beats at the Vera Stage.
Monsterwatch is a Seattle garage punk rock band that performed at Neumos.
Twice in the same month seeing Yaeji perform!
At least, there was alot of excitement during her set by the Brooklyn electro-dance artist!
Started and ended with Raingurl!
The Morning After from Seattle performing inside Barboza.
FKL from Seattle performed an electro-pop set at the Vera stage.
Sam LaChow was a last minute replacement for Goldlink.
The Seattle musician the audience on their feet with some hip-hop music.
Flasher was one of the few bands that I wanted to see on Friday night!
The Washington D.C. trio performed a great rock set.
Playing materials from their album Constant Image which is out on Domino Records.
One of the few Canadian bands to play at this year’s festival was Alvvays.
Nice to see such a big crowd for their lovely indie pop music!
Caught them performing Adult Diversion, In Undertow and Plimsoll Punks before heading to the next artist.
Kelly Lee Owens was one of the acts I totally wanted to see.
The Welsh musician performed a mix of dream electro-pop music!
She even did the Aaliyah cover of More Than A Woman.
A little bummed out she didn’t play Throw Lines but it was worth it just to see Kelly play!

Didn’t stay to see Dillon Francis since it wasn’t my cup of tea and wanted to explore more of Seattle at night!
