CityFolk 2025 [Night 2]

The second night of the CityFolk Festival kept things lively at Lansdowne Park.
I spent most of my time at the Fasken stage, starting with Alex Nicol, who delivered a warm and thoughtful folk-pop set — and I was surprised to learn he’s now based in Nashville.

Fresh off opening for Hozier in Toronto, their performance was heartfelt and magnetic, drawing in a crowd that stayed locked in.
Amble followed and turned out to be the big highlight of the night.

Rum Ragged rounded things out with their spirited blend of East-coast folk tradition music.

Over on the main stage, I had the chance to photograph the legendary Indigo Girls, who filled the evening air with timeless harmonies.
