After catching parts of Charles Bradley on the second night of Ottawa Bluesfest.
I ran to the River Stage to finally see Dirty Projectors.
It was the first day of their summer tour.
I was ecstatic to see them for the first time.

The band was in support of the new album “Swing Lo Magellan“.
At that time of the show, I didn’t know any of the tracks from the album.
But they did play “Gun Has No Trigger”.
Let’s say the turnout was about 100+ people.
I would have thought they be a big draw thanks to the likes of Pitchfork.
But when they played “Stillness In The Move”.
I had to cheer out loud.
More people started coming over.
I noticed with the new album it was mostly David Longstreth driven songs that he sang.
Overall I totally enjoyed it.
At least it was something different.
