Yesterday was National Drone Day and it has been so long since the pandemic that there was a in person event for this.
No! Drone is not a mechanical robot or those flying cameras that you see up in the skies.
Drone is a minimalist musical genre that emphasizes the use of sustained or repeated sounds, notes, or tone-clusters.
Debaser held this year’s edition at St. Alban’s Church and it was 8 hours of pure ranges of sound.
I managed to see Randy’s Calling, Simon Labelle, textcurious, Dimitri Georgaras, Annie Socoria, Transmit, NPNP, Emilio Portal, Atari Punk Ensemble, Matthew Larkin, Ex Luthor, Conor Byron and Stan K.
There was an amazing group Drone set which was unique to listen to.
