Fucked Up and Faze @ The 27 Club

I needed to get my fix of seeing Fucked Up live, and March 14, 2026 delivered.
Ottawa served as the second stop on their Zodiac tour, bringing the band to the intimate setting of The 27 Club.
Because the venue transitions into a dance party after 10 p.m., the show had to wrap up earlier than usual.
That meant a tighter set — clocking in at around an hour — but the band still managed to pack plenty of energy into the performance.
Maybe the demographic of the crowd (and even the band members themselves) isn’t getting any younger, but it didn’t stop the night from being a great, loud, and satisfying punk rocking show.
During the set, the band previewed an abridged version of their ambitious Zodiac cycle with Grass Can Move Stones, featuring tracks from the records Monkey, Goat, and Horse.
They also dipped into some fan favourites, closing the night with “Queen of Hearts” from their landmark album David Comes to Life.
If there’s one takeaway, it’s that next time they return to Ottawa, it would be great to see them play a venue where they can stretch out their set and really dig deeper into their catalogue.

Kicking off the night was Faze from Montreal, who set the tone with a blistering set of loud, hard-hitting hardcore punk.
