Friday night to kick off the long weekend for Victoria Day.
Hit up Live on Elgin for Ottawa’s Ginny for their re-release of their cassette tape EP which is out on Göst Signl.
Got to the venue and caught parts of Ottawa’s The Beverly Hills Cowboy.
They are a rock band featuring the lead singer and the guitarist of The Tackies.
Mix of loud and slow rock jams. 7/10.
Second band was Chicago’s North By North.
This duo performed a loud garage rock set.
Kind of reminds me of The Pack A.D. and The White Stripes. 7/10.
Third band which I didn’t know was on the bill was Ottawa’s The Deadseers.
Loud psychedelic rock shoe-gazing set. 7/10.
Ending the show was Ginny.
Again it was their re-release of their band tape which came out on the night of the show.
Preview two new songs and the rest was from the EP like the tracks Fever Dreams, Do Say and Choose The Wrong Man.
Fun times dancing to their theremin guitar alt-country rock set. 8/10.
