Thanks to the folks at apt613, I went to my first Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards Gala at the National Arts Centre.
The Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards Gala celebrates Canada’s Highest Honour in the Performing Arts.
This year’s recipients were tenor and radio host Ben Heppner, singer-songwriter Susan Aglukark, film and television producer Robert Lantos, children’s playwright and artistic director Suzanne Lebeau, artist & choreographer Marie Chouinard, and volunteer and philanthropist John D McKellar.
Sadly due to vocal chord surgery, Michael Buble couldn’t be in attendance for this year’s gala but will be attending it next year.
