Wonderful sold out show at the First Baptist Church with Leif Vollebekk and Ludovic Alarie that fell on Good Friday!
Last time he played the same venue was 7 years when he opened up for Basia Bulat.
I like to call it a homecoming show since he is technically from Ottawa where he went to De La Salle highschool.
Currently on tour promoting his third album Twin Solitude out on Secret City Records.
For the whole set, I got so emotionally moved by his talents and songwriting!
Leif mostly played materials from Twin Solitude and some from North Americana.
Funny moment when he called out his mom if she came to see him open up for Basia Bulat and she said yes.
So glad that I went to this show.
Opening up the show was Montreal’s Ludovic Alarie.
It was my first time seeing him perform and I enjoyed his stripped down intimate alternative Francophone music.
He did a wonderful Frank Ocean cover.
Kind of reminds me of listening to Karkwa.
