Mac DeMarco – Guitar [Streaming]

Today, Mac DeMarco released his sixth album, Guitar, via Mac’s Record Label.
Don’t expect the breezy, upbeat energy of Salad Days or 2—this record leans closer to the moody, introspective territory of his Here Comes the Cowboy era.
On Guitar, DeMarco reveals a more intimate, serious, and personal side to his songwriting, stripping things down to their essence.
It’s a slow-burn kind of album—one that may take a few listens to fully sink in, but rewards patience with its quiet depth.

About the album by Mac:
Guitar was written and recorded in its entirety in November 2024 at Mac’s home in Los Angeles.
Except for the mastering, which was handled by David Ives, Mac created and handled all aspects of this record on his own, including mixing the album in Canada, and shooting the artwork on tripods.
Mac comments, “I think Guitar is as close to a true representation of where I’m at in my life today as I can manage to put to paper.
I’m happy to share this music, and look forward to playing these songs as many places as I’m able.”
