Today the Toronto-based group Nutrients dropped the music video for The Dolphin.
The fourth single is taken from their upcoming album called Different Bridges which comes out on August 5, 2022 via Earth Libraries.
An 2 minute moody easy breezy laidback summer retro-pop tune.
Sounding very late-80s/early-90s vibe too.
About the track:
“The Dolphin” arrives as a stream-of-consciousness track that span out of vocalist, Taylor Teeple as he sat at his keyboard one day.
“The lyrics just kind of flowed out on top of that odd piano part,” explains Taylor.
“Instrumentally, this one is merely a fretless bass, a drum loop off an old keyboard, bongos, and midi keys.
It’ll be really interesting for us to hear what artists or genre The Dolphin reminds them of.”
