NXNE 2014: Perfect Pussy @ The Horseshoe Tavern [June 20, 2014]

The sixth act to play the venue during NXNE was Perfect Pussy.
I was very anxious for this set.
Considering the first time I saw them was at Montreal in April.
The first 10 minutes was typical Perfect Pussy with their loud noise punk rock music.
Then all of a sudden the bassist’s amp wasn’t making any sound.
He breaks his bass, throws it and walks off stage.

The rest of the set became of performance piece where Meredith kept screaming regret.
While the bassist was packing up and walked off stage leaving with the drummer and keyboardist.
Then while their time was up they were told by the Horseshoe Tavern staff to get off the stage.
Technically they got screwed over because of the secret guest was Spoon.
The whole set was a screw you to the venue and the festival.
But I was glad to see them play!
