NXNE: Who to check out on June 17th (part 2)

Here is part 2 of who I or you should check out at NXNE in Toronto.
So this will be Thursday night’s event.
It is going to be busy insane Thursday at NXNE.
A hard decision to choose on who to see badly.
Let’s check out who will be playing.

Found out that from Thursday to Sunday there is going to be a “Live in Bellwoods” picnic series at Trinity Bellwoods Park.
It is present by The Musebox and Humble Empire.

The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern:
Its a showcase presented by KEXP. I am more excited in seeing Dinosaur Bones, Elliott Brood and The Ghost Is Dancing.
Free Energy is a band from Philadelphia and Warpaint which is an all girl quartet from Los Angeles.
The one thing for this is that it is going to be the last time you will see the Ghost Is Dancing play as a big band and will downsize to a four-piece band.

The Great Hall which is on 1087 Queen St. W:

  • Friendo – 8pm
  • Demon Claws – 9pm
  • Women – 10pm
  • Best Coast – 11pm
  • CoCoComa – 12am
  • Thee Oh Sees – 1am

Clinton’s:
The Kelp Records Showcase

  • Chris Page – 9pm
  • Andy Swan – 10pm
  • Camp Radio – 11pm
  • The Michael Parks – 12am
  • Andrew Vincent – 1am (I wonder if he will rap?)

The Mod Club:

  • Young Galaxy – 8pm
  • The Besnard Lakes – 9pm

Lee’s Palace: (not that I am attending but will be worthwhile for others)

Mitzi’s Sister:
Gregory Pepper & His Problem – 2am

Rivoli:

  • Zeus – 10pm
  • Buck 65 – 11pm
  • Grand Analog – 12am

Sneaky’s Dees:

  • Health – 12am
  • Kidstreet – 1am

This is going to be one crazy Thursday night.
