Saved these three acts that played the last Saturday in part two of Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest 2011.
Surprisingly enough all three are all Canadian and put on an amazing set on July 16, 2011.
They were:
I miss parts of Braids at the Subway stage since I was interviewing Mother Mother.
Missed the songs to Lemonade, Plath Heart and parts of Glass Deers.
It such a chill out and relaxing set.
They are getting better and better each time and a surprise that they were on time for their first Bluesfest set.
Nice that they ended off with their Polaris shortlist nominated album title “Native Speaker”.
After that set, I headed up to the Claridge stage.
It was a big anticipation for Death From Above 1979 since it was a big reunion.
It’s been five years since they have played a live concert.
There was alot of people there to see it, even people from Toronto, Montreal and probably from the USA.
This was my first time seeing them live.
Man did they put on a get loud rocking set.
Lastly I went to the Subway stage for Mother Mother.
There was alot of people, mostly teen girls screaming like banshees.
It’s good to see a band like Mother Mother getting amazing draw these days.
Somehow I miss them playing in smaller venues
But an impress live show the band put on
Here are the rest of the photos.
