The second day of Pop Montreal happened to be the busiest time at the festival.
There was boat loads of acts performing, it was crazy deciding on who you wanted to see.
Here was the acts that I caught!
First of three nights on the Rialto rooftop with Leif Vollebekk.
Opening up for Leif was Erla Axelsdóttir.
Wonderful as the show was, let’s say later on it got really cold.
But it was so worth it to experience this!
Caught The Belle Game at Mademoiselle.
Secret City Records held their 10th annivesary party at Rialto Clubhouse.
Got so starstruck seeing Patrick Watson, Basia Bulat, members of Suuns and more who are on the roster at this party.
Over at the Rialto Theatre, John Cale was performing.
Ran over to Ukrainian Federation and caught Jean-Michel Blais.
It was so quiet, that you can hear a pin drop or the clicking of the camera.
Over at Casa del Popolo, The Submissives was performing.
It was packed and took some photos from their set.
Caught Diana at La Sala Rossa.
Felt like deja-vu since they played at the same venue probably about 4 years ago.
They were performing materials from their upcoming album!
So I got a text from a friend telling me that Secret City had a secret show.
It happened to be Patrick Watson!
The whole show was mostly a jamming session and it was out of this world.
Since I rarely get to see Patrick perform, it was the only chance to do so.
Someone in the audience asked Patrick to sing a song with the words Purple Monkey Dishwasher and it actually worked out well!
