After 10 days of live music and mayhem, RBC Ottawa Bluesfest ended with a hot night of indie music to close out the 2022 edition.
I was so excited to see The National to end things at the festival.
Great set of indie rock music from their vast discography.
Highlight was England which in my opinion is their best song.
Couldn’t believe I was very close to Matt Berninger.
Elijah Woods was second to perform at the River Stage.
The Ottawa musician had the younger audience excited with his electro-pop music.
Andy Shauf (No more long hair!) who performed second at the main stage.
It seemed like he was a little fish in a big pond situation, when he started off with Neon Skyline.
Felt like his vocals was very low while his band member’s instruments was louder than him.
But I returned when he ended with The Magician and his vocals got louder and I couldn’t help sway and sing out loud!
In my opinion, Andy is more suitable in an indoor setting.
Ottawa’s Bonnie Doon was the first act to play at the hot River Stage.
It has been awhile since I last seen the perform and they scorched it up with a high surf rocking set!
Kicking off the hot day at the main stage was Aysanabee with a powerful performance of indie singer-songwriter folk pop rock music.
