Savoir Adore – Our Nature [Review]

Savoir Adore was a band that I missed out at Pop Montreal and NXNE a couple years ago.
If you aren’t familiar, they are a duo from Brooklyn consisting of Paul Hammer and Deidre Muro.
They have been named “10 Bands to Watch” by the New York Post.
Now the duo drops their sophomore album “Our Nature” on October 16th.
It is 12 tracks filled with upbeat indie pop and dance music.
Judging by the album cover it is definitely out of this world!
The beginning track “Dreamers” is a fun upbeat dance pop track which is a cross between Stars and LCD Soundsystem.
Just check out the music video to it.
Let’s say the whole album feels like a mix between Stars, LCD Soundsystem and probably Miracle Fortress (circa Was I The Wave? era)
I was really surprised on this album.
I sort of remember the band had more of an indie acoustic pop sound.
Now they just did a 180 and went more synth-dance pop with a little bit of dreaminess.
They remind of the other duo Memoryhouse but think of them being more dance-like and bigger sound.
You should definitely check out Our Nature!
RIYL: Stars, LCD Soundsystem, and MGMT (circa Oracular Spectacular)

Our Nature gets (Revised):
/10.
They will be playing Ottawa on October 12th at Cafe Dekcuf.

Just listened to album – pretty nice. Been digging Savoir Adore since I’ve heard Dreamers about a year ago. Would be stoked to win a signed copy on CD.
