Attended the vernissage for Signal at Ottawa City Hall Gallery and Karsh Masson Gallery last night.
Signal highlights new additions to the City of Ottawa Art Collection in 2019.
Artworks are added to the Collection each year by way of a peer assessment process through purchase, donation and/or commission.
In 2019:
– 55 artworks by 45 artists were purchased
– 35 artworks by 5 artists were donated, including a significant donation of works by the late artist Mathieu Trudel
– 22 site-specific permanent public art commissions were completed, including 21 commissions for the O-Train Confederation Line
– 35 artists are new to the City of Ottawa Art Collection

This exhibition will be presented in two galleries at City Hall:
Karsh-Masson Gallery: November 22, 2019 to January 12, 2020
City Hall Art Gallery: December 12, 2019 to January 29, 2020
