The day has finally come!
Ottawa’s Silkken Laumann dropped their first single.
The single is called On The Mend taken from the upcoming Not Forever Enough.
For those not aware, Silkken Laumann (No it’s not the Canadian Olympic athlete) is a Ottawa band consisting of Rolf Klausener (the Acorn), Adam Saikaley and Pat Johnson.
The music is very electronica dance house. Punk, not so sure since it was listed on their Bandcamp.
But there is a hint of that 1980s New Wave sound.
Have a listen to On The Mend.
With that, the single comes with a music video.
Directed by Tyler Reekie and shot in Ottawa.
Still amazes me that the director got that 1980s VHS look.
Proceeds from the sale of this single will go to
The Royal Mental Health Centre (Ottawa).
