Submotion Orchestra – Colour Theory [Review]

I wasn’t familiar with the UK act Submotion Orchestra but anything British will definitely catch my ears.
Colour Theory is their fourth album and it is filled with UK Electronic, Ambient and chill-out music.
With the title like that, it is a colourful album to listen to.
Ever since electronic acts like Jamie xx, fka Twigs and Disclosure made electronic music sound so cool.
Reminds me of a throwback to Morcheeba and Zero 7.

Best tracks:

  • Red Dress
  • Kimono
  • In Gold
  • Amira
  • Needs (feat. Andrew Ashong)
  • Empty Love (feat. Ed Thomas)
  • Jaffa (feat. Still)
  • Illusions
  • Ao (feat. Catching Flies)

I’d give Colour Theory:
/10 Camera flashes.
