Today, Norfolk County’s own Sunnsetter dropped their highly anticipated album, Heaven Hang Over Me via Paper Bag Records.
The album carries a rich, nostalgic 2000s alt-rock vibe—think the atmospheric intensity of early Interpol or The National, but with a modern, introspective twist.
Sunnsetter leans into the sweeping guitars, moody melodies, and emotionally-charged vocals that feel like a comforting nod to the past while still maintaining fresh energy.
About the album by Andrew:
“There is a catharsis that comes from playing heavy music that I find myself pining after, since starting to play live as a band.
The feeling of letting go and yelling and carrying on in front of people in a room is something that really drives me.
Enveloping myself and everyone else in that room with sound, and letting it take over in a way that feels overwhelming and all consuming.”
“The last year and a half has been wonderful, we have journeyed and grown as a group of people, and as a band,”
“Having these people around to turn this dream into a reality has been an incredible experience.
We all love to play music and we all have a similar outlook on how this can work.”
