I wanted to show up my support for the bands playing.
Two I have seen a few weeks ago at CMW.
The first band was Ottawa’s Roberta Bondar.
Having missed out their EP release show in March.
I finally got to see them play the material from the Hiss EP.
Despite being a short set and first time playing at Ritual, they played a excellent punk-rock set.
Go and check out their music.
Second was Montreal’s Valleys.
Very excited to see them play.
They mostly played tracks from the upcoming album (which they had for sale at the show) “Are You Going To Stand There and Talk Weird ALl Night”.
Amazing indie synth-rock set and dance to their music.
I got to talk to the lead singer of Valleys before the show.
They are very nice people to chat with!
Finally it Suuns turn.
Set was all in red lit-light.
Started off with Music Won’t Save You.
It was pure bliss just hearing them play Armed For, 2020, Mirror Mirror, Arena, Pie XI and
Kind of a first to see people dancing to their music.
Yay for dance party!
Best part was Edie’s Dream which was amazing to hear live, epic and made you want to have sex.
They never disappoint live!
Overall it was a great show where you can be upclose to the bands and it was kind of a intimate show too.
Here are the rest of the photos.
