Arizona’s Lymbyc Systym played Ottawa’s Mavericks on March 14, 2011. This was my first time seeing this band play live in Ottawa.
Ottawa’s We Fled Cairo was the second opener for for Lymbyc Systym on March 14, 2011. Haven’t seen them play live in quite some time.
Montreal’s Valleys played in Ottawa’s Mavericks on March 5, 2011. They opened up for Land Of Talk who put on a great show. Their set was very shoegazey and experimental set. Just blew me away.
Went to a house show to see this duo called Alpha Couple play. (Not going to reveal where it was) It was pretty eccentric with the experimental noise and music. A really unique setup with the lead singer wearing a wedding veil. DJ Swayzeface was the DJ of the night for the house show.
Went to a house show on March 3rd. (Not going to reveal where it was) The headlining act was Alpha Couple. It was a premier for this Orphan Pool. Ophran Pool’s music is deep beats, raspy vocals, lots of synth, and perhaps even some fog.
